Hunter Valley Conference

Financial Newswire, a national independent financial publication, held a conference for financial planners in May in the beautiful Hunter Valley. The technical content covered everything from superannuation and upcoming SIS rule changes, investment analysis across multiple sectors and asset classes, the latest software and IT data solutions, through to policies and legislation to ASIC and compensation schemes.

When not sitting in a conference room for 2 days, we did get to enjoy the beautiful scenery and some rather quite large furry friends around the resort. Unfortunately no golf was played nor hot air balloon rides taken.

There was a trivia night held on one of the evenings, with over 10 tables of 10, each vying for the coveted title. A mixture of music, sport, TV shows and interactive challenges, somehow saw our table come away with the win.
